RGN Malta can assist people wishing to relocate or retire in Malta using the appropriate Malta programme, whether this involves the attainment of citizenship or through one of the current available residency programmes.

The Individual Investor Programme (IIP)

The Individual Investor Programme (IIP) grants Maltese citizenship and as such EU citizenship for fit and proper qualifying applicants and their dependents. 

The beneficiary will have the right of full citizenship for life, which can be passed on to future generations by descent.  The beneficiary will be granted permission to live and work in any of the EU member states, and have access to all investment opportunities in Malta and throughout the EU.  The beneficiary will be able to obtain VISA travel to the United States and another 170 countries.

Application is made through RGN Malta as Accredited Agents with Identity Malta.

Requirements

The applicant must be over 18 years of age.

The applicant is required to contribute €650,000 to Malta, which is deposited in the National Development and Social Fund.  An additional €25,000 is required for spouses and each minor child.  A further €50,000 must be contributed in respect of each unmarried child between 18 & 26 years of age and any dependent parents.

Applicant must purchase immovable property for at least €350,000, or rent property for at least €16,000 per annum on a minimum of 5 year contract.

Applicant must invest at least €150,000 in Government approved bonds/shares listed on the Malta Stock Exchange which are to be kept for a minimum of 5 years.

Applicant must possess and demonstrate a clean criminal record.

Applicant must be covered by a global health insurance policy of at least €50,000 and show that he does not suffer from a contagious disease or health condition that could become of a burden on the health system of Malta.

The applicant must take up residence in Malta in the first year subsequent to the application.

Additional due diligence and passport fees and bank charges are also levied in connection with the Programme.
